Aravindan to receive 2026 SAASCR Prestigious Cancer Research Award

Natarajan Aravindan, professor in the OSU Department of Physiological Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine, has been selected to receive the 2026 SAASCR Outstanding Achievement Award for his Seminal Contribution in Cancer Research.
Presented by the Society of Asian American Scientists in Cancer Research, this honor recognizes exceptional contributions and sustained impact in cancer research. Aravindan will accept the award and deliver the official award lecture on April 19 in San Diego, California.
Aravindan is recognized for his interdisciplinary research advancing the understanding of cancer biology, therapeutic resistance and immune regulation, with an emphasis on translational impact and mentorship. His work has helped shape cancer research paradigms and exemplifies SAASCR’s mission to accelerate discovery through collaboration, innovation and scientific rigor.
Beyond his scholarly achievements, Aravindan is celebrated for his commitment to mentoring early‑career investigators and fostering inclusive scientific ecosystems.
