Dr. Ranjan's Team Receives Grant
Congratulations to Dr. Ashish Ranjan and his team on receiving a 5-year RO1 grant totaling nearly $1.7 million from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the National Institutes of Health!
The RO1 grant was also selected for the prestigious NCI MERIT Award, which will ensure extended funding to Dr. Ranjan's lab. NCI is using the MERIT Award to give eligible investigators the opportunity to obtain up to seven years of support. The funding comes in two segments with the first being an initial 5-year award and the second being an extension of up to two additional years. Recipients of the extension are based on an expedited NCI review of the team's accomplishments during the initial funding segment.
CVM collaborators on this proposal include Drs. Shitao Li, Jerry Ritchey, Danielle Dugat, and Jerry Malayer.
