Thursday, April 25, 2024

Dr. Kishore

During the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association conference in January, Dr. Deepan Kishore was named the Oklahoma Veterinarian of the Year. Dr. Kishore is the first Indian-Origin veterinarian to win this award.

Dr. Kishore attended and completed his veterinary degree in 2007 at Madras Veterinary College in India. After graduating from veterinary school, Kishore continued his education at the University of Missouri where he received his master’s degree. Kishore’s educational journey continued at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Kishore completed a year’s worth of clinical rotations through the OSU CVM Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence.

“The PAVE program at OSU helped me transition to clinical practice and gain the necessary clinical skills to practice in the US,” Kishore said.

The PAVE program helps students improve veterinary skills and become familiar with the veterinary profession in North America.

“Starting the PAVE program was one of the best decisions I made, and it truly paved the way for success,” Kishore said. “I learned a lot and benefited from the program.”

Congratulations to Dr. Kishore on his incredible accomplishment. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
