2023 Phi Zeta Research Day Awards

Annually, the Nu Chapter of The Society of Phi Zeta hosts Phi Zeta Research Day to recognize veterinary students, interns, residents, graduate students, and post-doctoral associates for their outstanding work.
Participants presented on clinical cases and research findings; winners were selected for each group. Winners received a certificate and generous monetary award thanks to this year’s sponsors.
A special thanks to the Phi Zeta team of Drs. Sypniewski, Schoonover and Jurek, Dr. Biggs in the Continuing Education office and Cindy Martens in the office of Research and Graduate Education for their work in making this event a success.

Best Overall - John King award
Established in honor of the late Dr. John King, a member of the veterinary center’s class of 1955, the John King Award recognizes the most outstanding presentation by an Oklahoma State University veterinary student.

Industry partners included Zoetis, Merck, Aurora Pharmaceuticals, Elanco, Virbac and the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association. Support was also povided from within the CVM including the Dean’s Office, Associate Dean’s Office for Academic and Student Affairs, Department of Pathobiology, Oklahoma Animal Diagnostic Disease Laboratory and Veterinary Clinical Sciences.
