SAVMA Membership

SAVMA membership provides veterinary students with professional resources, networking opportunities, discounts, and other student benefits. Sign-up information will be sent the week before orientation, as membership is needed to receive certain benefits related to the rabies vaccination series and more.

CVM Library

The William E. Brock Memorial Library is a subject-focused branch of the OSU Library and serves all CVM faculty, researchers, clinicians, students, staff, and alumni.

CVM Counseling

The Oklahoma State University considers professional and personal wellness an important priority. Vet Med Counseling Services has onsite, registered mental health counseling and is here to help support students in any way possible while earning their degree.

Accommodations

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) offers academic support services to students. Students are required to contact SAS by July 15 before they can receive services at Oklahoma State University.

For students seeking health insurance, OSU offers student health insurance plans through UnitedHealthcare. You may also contact an AVMA Representative for affordable health care insurance options with AVMA Life.

Cost & Aid

Tuition rates for the 2026-2027 school year will be finalized and posted to the OSU Bursar website by early July.

Students needing financial assistance must complete the FAFSA immediately. Once complete, you may contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at finaid@okstate.edu or 405-744-6604.

University Health Services

University Health Services provides most outpatient care. The clinic is available by appointment and staffed by physicians, physician assistants, licensed nurses, and other health professionals to assist you with your health needs. You can make an appointment through the Patient Portal or call (405) 744-7665.

Gyms, Pools, & Recreation

The Department of Wellness at Oklahoma State University offers programs and services for complete health and wellness of the mind and body for students, faculty, staff and community members.

Parking Permit

Students may purchase a parking permit after August 1 through the online parking portal. Veterinary students typically purchase a silver commuter permit to park in Lot 78. Visit the Campus Parking Services website to purchase a permit and view an OSU Parking Map.

OSU ID Card

All students are required to have an OSU ID card. ID cards are essential for entering access-controlled doors for class, for meal plan transactions, for visiting the Colvin Center, and much more. Students may visit the Math Science Building, room 115, no earlier than 14 days before the first day of class, to request their ID card.
