Department Head, Jefferson C. Frisbee, PhD.
The Department of Physiological Sciences engages in state-of-the-art research programs
spanning organ systems to molecular biology and then applying this knowledge to both
healthy and pathological conditions as well as those of elevated risk. Our broadly
experienced faculty also lead advances in genomics, data analytics, machine learning,
and biosimulation, integrating with OSU’s One Health and INTERACT programs. We encourage you to explore our webpages to learn more about our outstanding

Our Research Specialties
Our faculty and staff specialize in oncology and cancer cell biology, neurodegenerative
diseases, metabolic disease and aging, and respiratory infectious diseases through
theOklahoma Center for Respiratory Infectious Disease.
Many of our faculty are currently recruiting trainees at multiple levels to expand
