Thank you for your interest in the INTERACT symposium. This symposium is targeted to scientists, public health and industry experts, clinicians, and other stakeholders engaged in research and application of technologies at the interface of human and veterinary medicine.cain, dr. maccabe, dean risco, secretary arthur, dr. ranjan

Animal research, including veterinary trials, has a direct impact on humans and vice-versa. With this in mind, the symposium will feature several sessions and roundtables led by prominent scientists engaged in applying one-health and one-medicine based approaches that recognize the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment. With an increasing emergence of novel pathogens, developing next generation therapeutics is increasingly reliant on understanding the interaction between humans and animals for wider applicability. These approaches are similarly being extended to other aspects of medicines to ease clinical translation of clinical and diagnostic products. Our symposium will cover varied topics including pathogens that can transmit across species, such as COVID, to cancer therapy, to devising solutions to attain integrated outcomes in veterinary and human patients.
