Message from the Dean
I share in the Class of 2020's disappointment in not being able to participate along with their classmates, family and friends in an in-person Hooding Ceremony. The CVM administration has considered all options to provide the class with a graduation commensurate to their effort, time and commitment to earn the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
A virtual commencement ceremony will be held on May 8, 2020, at 1 p.m. The intent for the virtual ceremony is that prior to practicing veterinary medicine, the Class of 2020 will have their DVM degree conferred and have the Veterinarian’s Oath administered.
The Class of 2020 will also have the opportunity to participate in the in-person Graduate Commencement Ceremony scheduled for December 2020. At this ceremony, graduates will be able to wear their regalia, walk across the stage and be hooded by the class-selected faculty hooders or approved distinguished hooder.
Details for both ceremonies are forthcoming. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to honoring the Class of 2020.
Kind Regards,
Dean Risco
