Poultry Wet Lab

Thursday, October 13, 2022

Thanks to the contributions of OADDL, OSU Extension, ODAFF, Aviagen and University of Arkansas, this wet lab is being offered at a significantly reduced rate. Dr. Dustan Clark, Extension Poultry Health Veterinarian with the University of Arkansas, will conduct the wet lab.

Each participant will be provided with a specimen to necropsy. Under Dr. Clark’s guidance, the participants will be instructed on proper necropsy technique as well as proper specimen submission. With Dr. Clark’s vast experiences in poultry, this wet lab brings together poultry experts from industry, academia/extension, and regulatory medicine to give veterinary professionals hands-on experience in necropsy and sampling of birds.

Discussion will include diseases often seen in backyard poultry, practical approaches to biosecurity, and diagnostic options.

Poultry Wet Lab instructors include:  Dr. Dustan Clark, Dr. Ken Powell, and Dr. Beth Ruby.

Saturday, November 5 from 9 AM to 11 AM at OADDL Necropsy. Limited seats available (max 15). 8 DVM/techs registrations required for this event to make.

Registration $150.00.

Wet Lab registration is separate from Fall Conference.
