Dr. Sandra Morgan

The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine brings veterinary professionals a new online continuing education course. This course was designed from Dr. Sandra Morgan's Fall Conference presentation on Thursday, November 5, 2020, held online via Zoom.  The content of this course is also included in the Fall Conference Large Animal Value Package (CE).  Do not enroll in both this course and the Large Animal Value Package.

During this course, participants will attend recorded video lectures with Dr. Sandra Morgan on “Acute Bovine Death 1 & 2.”

Dr. Morgan ran a mixed animal practice for one year before becoming a large animal ambulatory clinician at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a Master's Degree in Veterinary Pathology and is board certified in Veterinary Toxicology. Her last position was a veterinary toxicologist at the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory. Dr. Morgan is now retired and raises cattle at her farm in Stillwater.

In the modules, attendees will learn to think of toxins in an "organ system" approach; become familiar with the most common toxins that affect cattle and be able to rule out toxins on a differential list by use of history, the number affected, weather, etc.

Time requirements: Approximately 2 hours. This course has 2 modules that can be completed at your own pace.
